Remember the story of Abraham and Sarah? God made a promise to Abraham and Sarah that they would have a son, years went by and I am sure that Sarah felt “left behind”. And when a woman starts to feel left behind… watch your behind!
Genesis 16: 1 – 5 summarizes what Sarah decided to do with her feelings.
Sarah had good intentions, but because of her lack of faith in God, she messed up. She ROYALLY messed up! She thought she was helping God out when in fact she was making matters worst. Wow! Am I guilty of that!
I say I trust God but when money gets tight or bills mount up, I start to question His Will. How about you? Do you struggle with that? We need to stop worrying and start trusting.
I love how Philippians 4:6,7 in the Message Bible puts it:
Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
Instead of worrying, pray! Turn your worries iTunto prayers and keep trusting!
